Updates/Special Rep Council Meeting Link

Greetings NEA-Jurupa Family,

Happy St. Paddy’s Day! And only a couple more days until a much needed Spring Break.

By now, you should’ve seen the MOU between the Association and the District (sent out in an email from Daniel Brooks this morning) and site administration should be sharing information with you as well. This is our third MOU in less than a year due to the changing situation with the pandemic and each time we are doing something that we’ve never done before.

We know there are still a lot of questions out there and some won’t be able to be answered until the district knows how many students will be returning to in-person instruction. There will slight differences at our sites, as some will have higher numbers than others. The Association and District are committed to working out “hiccups” as they arise. It will be really important for you to reach out to your Site Reps, Area Directors, or me as soon as possible in order to address any issues.

The good news is that Riverside County officially moved into the Red Tier yesterday with 6.1 cases/100K and a 3.3% positivity rate! It seems like there may be some semblance of “normal” on the horizon.

We will be holding an Special (Emergency) Representative Council today at 3:45. It will be no more than an hour. We will go over details about the MOU and answer some of the most common questions. This meeting will be recording and shared out by Thursday or Friday.
