Greetings NEA-Jurupa family,
Happy Almost Friday! I hope your short week is going well and that you are looking forward to another 3-day weekend! Thank you again for your ongoing compassion, empathy, grace, kindness, patience, and understanding.
Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day!
I’ve attached a few pieces of information that you might find of use:
Jurupa Valley District 3 Community Clean Up: Please see the flyer about this opportunity to participate in the event on Saturday morning!
Mental Health and Wellness Resources: Whether you have Anthem or Kaiser, there are resources available to you and your covered dependents/family members. These resources are a part of your medical coverage. Please see the attached flyers for more information about what your plan offers.
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a benefit available to all employees through REEP (our benefits consortium) and is 100% confidential. For more information visit anthemEAP.com and enter REEP.
Talkspace: This online platform is available to Anthem and Kaiser members (and their dependents ages 13+) as part of your benefits package. It’s a great resource for those who would like to have therapy options on their own terms.
ON BEHALF OF NEA-JURUPA’S EQUITY COMMITTEE:
In celebration of Black History Month, the NEA-J Equity Committee invites you to complete this Black History Month Nomination Form to recognize a teacher, staff member, district personnel, or board member within JUSD that you feel the committee should honor. The deadline to submit nominations is Wednesday, February 23rd.
JUSD School Board Meeting: Tuesday, February 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at the Ed Center. I will send out the meeting link and info on Tuesday.
Best to all of you and your loved ones. Enjoy your upcoming weekend and please continue to stay safe and well!
In Unity-
Wendy Eccles 🙂
