Attached you will the find Tentative Agenda for our Rep Council meeting on Wednesday, January 26th. As per usual, please reach out to your Site Reps, Exec Board Members, or me with any questions or concerns you may have. We have our monthly standing meeting with the District before Rep Council and we get many of the concerns addressed there.
By now you should have received an email from your Site Admin regarding Virtual Meetings. The NEA-Jurupa Executive Board took official action to request this for our members. We are very glad that the District agreed. We are in regular communication with the District as issues arise. Also, the COVID guidance is changing rapidly. As the Federal Guidance changes, the State and County Guidance will also adjust. This directly impacts the requirements for school districts.

CTA Conferences: Virtual Conferences are free to CTA Members and there is still free University Credit available.
CTA IFT Grants: Grant applications are due by March 31st, 2022. Click on the link if you are interested.
CTA Scholarships: There are multiple scholarships available for both CTA Members and their dependents. Please click link for detailed information. The Dependent Scholarship applications are due by January 28th, 2022. NEA-Jurupa also provides scholarships. That information will come out later this year.
NEA Representative Assembly: The NEA-RA is scheduled to be held July 3-6, 2022 in Chicago. This is an elected delegate position. If you are interested in running as a State Delegate, please see the link. Declaration of Candidacy is due by January 28, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. NEA-Jurupa will also be allocated a number of Delegates. That election information will come out in the next month or two.
Free COVID Tests: If you haven’t already ordered them, each home in the U.S. is eligible to order 4 free tests.
